FRONT DRUM TO DISC BRAKE CONVERSION KIT (65-69)
|
| This kit includes everything necessary to totally convert a production drum brake equipped car to factory 4-piston disc brakes. With the exception of calipers which are remanufactured with stainless steel pistons, stainless steel cross-over tube, stainless bleeders and stainless type plating, all parts are new, either from Ford or made to Ford prints. If the car is factory equipped with an 8 cylinder engine, the spindels do not have to be changed. However, in the case of six cylinder cars, a spindel and suspension change is required. While not original, the kit also bolts on 1968-69 mid-sized Ford drum brake equipped cars. Our kits are especially designed to differ between 1964-1/2 to 1966 cars which were never equipped with power brakes, (when optional disc brakes were fitted) because of clearance problems with the shock towers. A new, original equipped master cylinder with single resevoir/dual outlet is provided. The kits for the 1967 cars, on the other hand, are provided with dual system master cylinder can be fitted with power brakes. New boosters are available form our company, or your rebuilt booster can be installed on these models. SHIPPING $60.00 |
